Why the “Standby” feature is so useful in iOS 17

When an iPhone with iOS 17 is placed horizontally and is charging, standby is automatically activated. It can also be used as a smart display.

According to ITmedia on September 26, a new version of iOS, iOS 17, was released by Apple along with the release of the new iPhone. Standby function makes effective use of charging iPhones
This standby function allows the user to display a variety of information in full screen when the charging iPhone is placed horizontally. It is intended for use at the bedside or kitchen counter and can be customized to display widgets including various clock styles, favorite photos, and smart stacks. 　It also displays larger notifications, such as full-screen live activity and Siri answer/receive, so you can see the contents from a distance when used with the iPhone 14 Pro series or later with an always-on display. 　In addition, the night mode adapts to darker standby and displays the clock/photos/widgets in red tones. The charger can be non-MagSafe, but if you use MagSafe, Standby will also remember the user’s preferred display for that MagSafe charging dock.
