Panasonic to Procure Graphite from Canada to Establish EV Battery Material Technology
According to the Asahi Shimbun newspaper on September 22, Panasonic Energy, an automotive battery business under Panasonic Holdings, announced on September 22 that it has reached a technical milestone for using graphite produced in Canada as an anode material for batteries used in electric vehicles (EVs). A long-term graphite supply contract with Nouveau Monde Graphite (NMG), a local company, is nearing completion.
