Ban on new gasoline car sales in the U.K. postponed to 2035: PM Snake: “A more realistic approach
According to FNN Prime Online on September 22, British Prime Minister Snake announced that the timing of the ban on new gasoline car sales in the UK, originally set for 2030, will be postponed to 2035. In 2020, former Prime Minister Johnson launched a policy in the United Kingdom to ban the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars by 2030. However, Prime Minister Snake announced at a press conference on March 20 that the ban would be postponed until 2035, saying, “We will aim for zero emissions in a more realistic way. He also announced that he would review the ban on gas boilers in new housing and other measures, but he would maintain the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to virtually zero by 2050. The British media reported that he is trying to win over industry and inflation-stricken voters as the general election approaches.
