Laxl’s New Business Raises ¥13.5 Billion, Targets Global Development in India and North America

According to Nikkei Business on September 22, JOSYS (Shinagawa, Tokyo), a system development company under the umbrella of LUXUL, a printing and logistics service provider, has raised 13.5 billion yen. The company has already launched its services in 40 countries and regions, and plans to expand to over 100 countries by the end of 2025. The strategy of aiming for global expansion from the early stage of business is called “Born Global,” but there are few successful examples of Japanese companies. This is because it is difficult for Japanese companies to expand overseas, as many have brought successful Western models to Japan. At a press conference announcing JOSYS’ 13.5 billion yen fundraising, Yasutetsu Matsumoto, president of JOSYS, declared, “We have the potential to become the number one service provider in the world. 　JOSYS was launched in September 2009 as a new business of LUXURU, and spun out as a startup in February 2010. JOSYS is engaged in a service that centrally manages “SaaS” accounts and IT (information technology) devices that use software via the cloud. 　The new coronavirus disaster has made teleworking more common, and an increasing number of companies have introduced SaaS for attendance management, accounting, and other services. Many companies have distributed new extension-enabled smartphones to employees as communication terminals.
