Who will be this year’s grand champion?　Wagyu Beef Prefectural Kyoushinkai Held in Kirishima City, Kagoshima

According to Kagoshima TV on September 30, a cattle show was held in Kirishima City to determine the grand champion of Kagoshima black cattle. The prefectural cattle breeding competition is held annually for the purpose of improving black cattle. This year, 59 young females were entered from each district, including the outlying islands. Last year, Kagoshima won the first place in Japan for the second consecutive year at the All Japan Wagyu Proficiency Show, commonly known as the “Zenkyou” in Kagoshima. The judging was filled with a sense of urgency, as the judges looked ahead to the Hokkaido Zenkyou four years from now, in order to maintain the high level of Kagoshima black cattle.
