Chargers compatible with the new “Qi2” standard Elecom & MICRODIA qi2 standard product introduction

Good morning. Today’s article is about the Qi2 standard from Elecom and MICRODIA.

Chargers compatible with the new “Qi2” standard

According to PHILEWEB on September 8, Elecom announced that it is currently developing chargers that are compatible with the new Qi2 standard for wireless charging, to be released by the end of 2023. Mobile batteries will also be released sequentially starting in 2024. The product currently under development is a wireless charger that is compatible with the Qi2 wireless charging standard announced by the Wireless Power Consortium in early 2023. The product is scheduled to go on sale by the end of 2023.

The company also plans to release mobile batteries sequentially starting in 2024. The new “Qi2” standard is a new wireless charging standard based on Apple’s MagSafe. Conventional Qi chargers lose charging efficiency when the charger and smartphone are misaligned, but Qi2 enables efficient and high-speed charging by precisely positioning the device and charger with magnetic force. In addition, while in the past both the device and the charger needed to have flat surfaces, Qi2 eliminates this limitation, making it possible to use Qi2 in products that are small in size and designed to incorporate flat surfaces that are difficult to incorporate.
