According to Bloomberg on September 12 (Bloomberg): Apple’s annual product launch event for its iPhone and other products is always the most important time of the year. It is a chance for Apple to impress consumers with its latest models and boost its year-end sales. This year’s event will begin at 10:00 a.m. California time on the 12th.
However, Apple is expecting more than usual from the new iPhone 15 lineup that is expected to be unveiled at the event. The company aims to end three consecutive quarters of declining sales, and hopes to increase consumer enthusiasm to encourage them to switch to models with new features.
Apple is facing an industry-wide slowdown in smartphone demand, as well as concerns of consumer backlash in China, its largest overseas market. In addition, the prospect of switching to the “USB-C” charging standard for the latest iPhones may cause dissatisfaction from consumers who own many accessories based on the current “Lightning” standard.
